Rope Coil Weave Basket Weekend

Description

Join us in the beautiful Scottish Borders village of Bowden to learn how to make a large round basket with the beautiful rope coil technique. 10:00 am - approximately 4:00 pm both days. During the weekend, you will learn how to:

-make a round base in a slightly different way

-stake up 

-use a four rod chased wale

-use the rope coil weave and reverse rope coil weave simultaneously 

-lay down the border

Previous willow experience is helpful but these techniques can also be adjusted for beginning basketmakers.
