Coquetdale

The Coquetdale group meets at Hepple Village Hall, NE65 7LH, from 10 am - 4 pm. An alternative venue may need to be found for the duration of the work on the new toilets (scheduled for the first half of the year). NB Genevieve has offered to bring the January refreshments.

Themes for self-help sessions are given below.

The 2024 self-help meeting dates are :

  • 17th January - Asymmetrical Borders, using a round or oval base, woven or solid. If you are making a solid base, it is suggested that the minimum size is 21x22cm with about 20 holes, up to 26x14 cm with 22 holes.
  • 21st February - Practicing Squarework
  • 20th March - Principles of Tool Sharpening
  • 17th April - Garden Structures
  • 15th May - General Self-Help
  • 19th June - General Self-Help
  • 18th September - General Self-Help
  • October/November/December dates to be decided

Participants must confirm attendance at least a week in advance to ensure sufficient willow is available. Tea and coffee are provided, but please bring your own snacks and lunch.

The details of the charges are as follows;

NBG members, attendance £7, prepared willow £5, assistance over and above shared ideas and experiences £5.

Non-NBG members' first session is £15, followed by attendance, £10; prepared willow £5, plus tuition by arrangement.
