Privacy Policy

Whilst Northumbria Basketry Group (we/us) are exempt from registering for date protection purposes with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), we do adhere to the principles of data protection legislation including GDPR 2018.

This policy explains what information we have gathered from you, what we use it for, how long we keep it and how we endeavour to keep it as secure as you would like us to.

Information we may have collected from you:

1. As a member, from your application form or subsequent communications:

  • Your name and address
  • Your telephone number(s) and email address
  • Details of courses you may have attended

This information is held for the purposes of running the group and maintaining your membership contract with us. Without this information, it would be impossible for us to keep you informed of relevant group business and activities which affect you as a member.

2. Through our website as a subscriber to our “ News Alert” facility

  • Your email address

This information was collected with your consent when you subscribed via our website and you can withdraw this consent at any time, either by using the ‘Unsubscribe’ option offered within all emails sent via our website, or by emailing us at info@northumbriabasketrygroup.co.uk. Your email address will, on receipt of such a request, be removed from our records.

What we will do with your information:

  • We will only send information that you have asked for or consented to receive, and that relates to the business and aims of the group and your membership.
  • We will never disclose your information to any 3rd party without your express consent, unless required to do so legally.
  • We will only keep it for as long as is necessary for accounting purposes, administration of the group and managing your membership. In normal circumstances we will not keep your information for longer than 6 years after your membership expires or from your last contact with us.
  • We will take all reasonable precautions to keep your personal information secure.
