Anna Turnbull

Anna, of Biteabout Arts, www.biteabout.co.uk , creates willow sculptures, traditional and contemporary baskets and hand made felt. As an experienced teacher, she runs workshops from her studio and also at various locations in the North of England and Scotland.

She is driven by a desire to create, to experiment and to discover new skilled ways of working.

"It feeds my soul, gives me purpose, keeps me well. I love to be challenged. I also love the proces of flow, the absorbtion in a rhythmic way of working. I love working in, and with, nature, seeing myself as a part of our natural world, a world to be respected, honoured and valued as something far greater than us."

In her sculptural works, she observes movement in her local wildlife, the shapes, forms, flow of muscles, directions, lines and tensions.
