Borders Group Picnic
Despite an unpromising forecast, the weather held for a visit to David and Tamsin's willow plot at Craig in the Borthwick Valley on the 7th of August.
Nine Northumbria Basketry Group members enjoyed the visit, and it was good to catch up after so long. Charlotte brought a brake and demonstrated how to make summer white willow, and David conducted tours of the willow plot.
Borders Group members are hoping to start meeting again regularly in September.
As soon as the visit was over, it rained, but fortunately, the afternoon was lovely.
